Toolmaking

Operational continuity and safety

To support and safeguard the entire production process while ensuring maximum efficiency, Olvan S.p.A. maintains an in-house toolmaking department. This includes a rapid-response service to provide constant maintenance for all equipment, minimizing machine downtime, and enabling the internal production of welding fixtures and control jigs.

The toolmaking department is equipped with advanced technologies, including CNC machining centers, milling machines, micro-drilling machines for hardened materials, grinders, lathes, automatic saws, and a wire EDM machine.

Olvan relies on an experienced engineering team to design and set up progressive dies, transfer dies, bending dies, welding fixtures for robotic cells, and control masters, ensuring total quality throughout the production process of each component.

A process FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) ensures the reliability and accuracy of processes before tooling is manufactured.

Regular scheduled maintenance of equipment after each production cycle guarantees continuity and quality in the production process, ensuring total safety.

Olvan employs advanced 3D design systems, primarily NX Siemens and Rhinoceros, capable of reading all possible file formats.
