Testing and Laboratories

Quality Control

  • All processes are managed with total self-monitoring, supported by 3D laser vision systems that ensure consistent quality and productivity while fully adhering to workplace safety procedures, safeguarding all employees.
  • All production stages, starting from intermediate processing, are monitored using control masters and visual scanners for weld inspections. These are continuously supported and certified by inline monitoring personnel to ensure process consistency and validity.
  • Dimensional inspections utilize ZEISS coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) with advanced 3D computing logic.
  • Robotic bending cells are equipped with dedicated ZEISS tracers that are interconnected with the main inspection department.
  • The testing department includes a chemical and metallurgical lab for tensile tests, raw material chemical analyses, welding penetration tests (via macrographs or destructive methods), and paint bath quality checks.
  • Welding processes are continuously monitored and supported by advanced FRONIUS systems, ensuring superior welding quality.
  • The Welding Coordinator provides necessary assistance to guarantee optimal results for clients.
  • Olvan collaborates with the Italian Welding Institute (IIS) for direct training and certification of personnel, ensuring proficiency in all welding processes used.
  • Olvan partners with various Lombardy-based organizations to train young mechatronics professionals, integrating them into its workforce after specialized training.
  • To safeguard and optimize the production process, Olvan maintains an in-house toolmaking department with a rapid-response service for equipment maintenance. This includes manufacturing welding fixtures and control jigs.
  • Olvan relies on an experienced engineering team to design and set up progressive dies, transfer dies, bending dies, welding fixtures for robotic cells, and control masters, ensuring total quality throughout the production process of each component.
  • A process FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) ensures the reliability and accuracy of processes before tooling is manufactured.
  • Regular scheduled maintenance of equipment after each production cycle guarantees continuity and quality in the production process, ensuring total safety.
  • Olvan employs NX Siemens and Rhinoceros 3D design systems, capable of reading all file formats, to support efficient and precise tooling development.
